Online poker in New Jersey has seen a resurgence of late. The market has enjoyed significant growth while people were required to stay at home.

One sign of a booming market is the online poker tournament scene. The fact that WPT is coming to NJ shows how the once-struggling online poker scene has rebounded in recent months.

WPT Vice President of Global Tour Management Angelica Hael spoke about the opportunity for NJ online poker players in a news release.

“WPT and partypoker US Network are coming together to provide the New Jersey network of online players the opportunity to compete in a world-class event and take part in a familiar WPT experience.”

NJ online poker players can win their way to a live WPT event

The 13-event series runs June 21-28 and concludes with a $300,000 guaranteed Main Event.

Along with the prize money from winning the Main Event, the winner will be given a WPT trophy and a trip to Las Vegas.

The VIP experience on the Strip includes entry into the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio.

The Five Diamond World Poker Classic sports a hefty buy-in of $10,400. The big buy-in results in a big payday. Last year’s winner, professional poker player Alex Foxen, won $1,694,995.

The added bonus of the Las Vegas VIP package makes the $400 WPT Online Poker Open Main Event a must-play event. And you can bet the WPT will put plenty of effort into getting players to turn out to ensure a nice payday at this event as well.
